Welcome to my blog. I am a first time blogger, but wanted to share my experience thus far here in Puebla, Mexico. I decided to stay a few weeks here in Puebla to become more familiar with the culture and customs of Puebla and of Mexico. It is also my goal to improve my Spanish. I've never been far from home alone for a long period of time, so this is a new experience for me. Currently, I am staying with a host family. Mago is a mother of six children. All of whom are married with kids except one. Her daughter, Paty lives with her. She does have a daughter, who lives in France right now. Mago's sons, daughters and grandchildren visit almost daily. She also babysits her two youngest grandchildren, Fany (9) and Fabricio (4) during the week. When I arrive at 4:30-5:00, I always play with them. They are sweet kids. The family is a very close, loving and kind family. My host family cooks me breakfast and dinner, which normally consist of traditional Mexican dishes. It's always delicious! They are great cooks and a pleasure to talk to and spend time with. Here is a schedule of a typical week day:

6:30-7:00am - Get up and get ready for the day
8:00am - Eat breakfast with my host family
9:00am - Spanish class
1:00pm - Have lunch at one of the restaurants in Puebla
2:30pm - Go on a tour with my tour guide
4:30pm - Head home
6:00pm - Eat dinner with my host family
7:00-10:00pm - Talk and spend time with my host family

The times do vary that I have dinner and spend time talking with my family. I have my weekends free to explore. I also plan to visit Mexico City on some weekends when I can. I want to visit family I have not seen for many years. I feel very fortunate to have such a welcoming and helpful family as well as this opportunity to explore and experience Puebla, Mexico. So far, I am enjoying my time here very much. Here, are some pictures of my room.
